Revenue Cycle Operations Manager - Epic Medical Billing

Huron helps its clients drive growth, enhance performance, and sustain leadership in the markets they serve. This role involves managing revenue cycle operations for Huron Managed Services Domestic Business Office and driving operational, financial, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage teams within revenue cycle operations, motivating staff to meet organizational goals for customer service, operational and financial performance.
  • Design and execute strategic priorities and special projects for the domestic leadership team.
  • Ensure staff carry out duties that maximize reimbursement for delivered services.
  • Identify and implement solutions to problems affecting teams and coordinate with other departments.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and redesign processes to improve service, data integrity, and staff productivity.
  • Track trends, recommend problem resolutions, and report findings to leadership.
  • Prepare service level metrics and explanatory summaries for leadership.
  • Evaluate potential new staff, recommend hiring, and establish performance standards.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide counseling, and develop training plans.
  • Adhere to all department and organization policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Core Qualifications
  • Current permanent U.S. work authorization.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue cycle functions, including account billing, follow?up, charge integrity, insurance verification, or related functions.
  • Epic Medical Billing experience required.
  • Experience in a complex multi?entity healthcare organization or large revenue cycle services is preferred.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to build and lead teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytic and critical?thinking skills; ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Work Environment
  • Professional office setting; routine use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Office work: seated at a desk/computer for 8 hours daily; occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

The estimated salary range for this job is $90,000$125,000. This role is eligible for Hurons annual incentive compensation program and benefits.
