Project Manager II, Product Commercialization

Product Commercialization is looking for its newest Project Manager. This dynamic team is the pulse critical to driving the cross-functional execution of the Worldwide Grocery Stores Private Brands product launch process. The PC Team also facilitates development, implementation and improvement of various work-streams and conducts resource/capacity planning to inform all functional teams supporting the Worldwide Grocery Private Brands program at Amazon. With key functions in both business planning and execution, the team seeks to optimize business processes and efficiencies cross-functionally to serve a number of teams supporting program, including: Sourcing, Product Development, Package Design, Manufacturers, Logistics/Supply Chain, Product Quality and Global Food Safety.

This position is based in Austin and will require 100% of your time in our downtown HQ (550 Bowie St). Key job responsibilities include:

• Provide PM support for assigned areas of business
• Engage with functional representatives to understand business requirements
• Contribute to building and maintaining project roadmaps
• Track and manage progress, identifying and escalating major issues/risks to management
• Engage with Team Members and leadership to ensure a mutual and shared understanding of project expectations
• Ensure customer focused decision-making
• Partner with outside organizations and various stakeholder teams to ensure alignment, collaboration, and wide-spread sharing of lessons learned
• Engage with other business groups to identify gaps and suggest process and communication improvements
• Ensure consistency and adherence to applicable brand standards, processes, and policies
• Coordinate label compliance reviews, including accuracy, consistency and conformance to Quality Standards
• Create clear vendor communication, involving launch requirements and label development and review processes
• Facilitate the label review and approval process by outside organizations
• Extensive proofing and accuracy-checking against Technical Specifications
• Maintain weekly business partner meetings, including agenda and discussion facilitation
• Travel up to 10%

About the team Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is a global retail organization dedicated to revolutionizing the grocery shopping experience through enhanced efficiency, quality, and affordability. At its core, WWGS Private Brands (PB) serves as a crucial strategic division that develops, sources, and manages our Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Amazon-branded proprietary food products across all geographic regions. This team also leads the Whole Body assortment, which includes non-food and health/wellness products for WFM. Operating as a unified force, Private Brands supports both North American and International operations by leveraging cross-functional expertise in product development, sourcing, sensory, commercialization and quality assurance to bring our products to market end-to-end across all WFM and Amazon channels.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of leading project management methodologies
• Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects
• Working knowledge of project management software(s) such as Workfront
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
