Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's procurement and supply chain operations to ensure strategic, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing of materials and supplies. This role serves as a key business partner across departments, providing expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, inventory strategy, and process improvement to support organizational objectives and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to support business goals, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships; evaluate supplier performance using key metrics and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Oversee purchasing operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment of material and service requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and align procurement strategies with production and operational needs.
• Analyze market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks to inform procurement decisions and ensure business continuity.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, automation, and process optimization within the procurement function.
• Guide team members, promoting best practices and professional growth within the department.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP or procurement systems.
• Experience in the Printing, Communications, or Packaging industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification in CPSM or CSCP preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

• This role is based in a smaller printing manufacturing facility, where the individual will need to move throughout the facility, including offices and the production floor. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided if needed.
• The position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexible hours. The dress code is business casual with closed-toe shoes required.

Job Type & Location:

• This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
