Role and Responsibilities- Design and test complete solutions that solve unique technical problems.
- Define new products and features to fill gaps and perform product evaluations and field trials for new product features and accessories.
- Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting, system integration engineering, product recommendations, and technical analysis via phone, online, and in person.
- Work individually and with Engineering teams to support these requests via in-house or field testing and validation.
- Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications.
- Support the Sales Engineering team by helping prepare for demos, training, testing, or recreating bugs and issues they see in the field.
- Create and maintain customer-facing documents and content including manuals, guides, videos, application notes, etc. to support customers and sales more efficiently.
- Oversee and assist the RMA and Loaner teams by providing guidance, equipment recommendations, and vetting customer requests.
- Travel requirements up to 25% travel to provide in-person engineering support to customers and the sales team, including demos, troubleshooting, system integration, and training.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
- Proficiency in instruments such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other RF and data network test equipment and testing.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, multitask, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details.
- Proficiency with PC office applications and mobile devices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
- Note - Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
- Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking.
- Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems.
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems, RF signal propagation, and digital communication technologies.
- Experience in testing embedded radio communication systems.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or C/C++.
The pay range is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. CA Pay Range $70,000$90,000 USD.
