This opportunity involves both day and night 12-hour shifts, providing critical care in a dynamic emergency department environment. The assignment requires board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with at least 2 years of emergency room experience. Job Details Location: Michigan Start Date: Jan 31, 2026 LOA: 2 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: Jan 31, 2026, 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am; Feb 1, 2026, 2000-0800 Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency medical care to patients across all acuity levels Supervise midlevel provider on duty Attend and respond to house codes, with hospitalist and anesthesia backup as available Participate in code situations to provide airway support Write limited bridging orders and place bed orders when necessary; hospitalist to handle most admission orders Additional Information Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine required Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required Michigan medical license required at time of clearance (IMLC not accepted) DEA (verbal confirmation at name clear) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required (for non-EM boarded physicians) Clean background required for quick credentialing Providers must be local Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
