Overview

Noblis and its subsidiaries tackle national?level problems, delivering advanced solutions to federal missions in defense, intelligence, and civil sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team leaders and members on the analysis of complex aviation technical and operational issues.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate methods and techniques to improve air transportation system performance.
  • Prepare detailed draft recommendations on operational methods, procedures, and alternative strategies.
  • Apply knowledge of UAS systems, capabilities, emerging technologies, and the FAA Safety Management System.
  • Analyze Part 107 waivers, UAS airspace waivers, and petitions for exemption.
  • Utilize web information technology and software tools (Adobe Suite, SharePoint, PowerPoint, advanced Excel, MS Access, MS Project, Visio, etc.) to format and communicate data to government, industry personnel, and the public.
  • Conduct data collection, mining, and analytics to support operational decision?making.
  • Support integration of emerging aviation technologies and regulatory guidance into operational practices and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of UAS operations, FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 107 and Part 91), and airspace procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience using data analytics and web information technology tools for operational analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, research, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex operational and regulatory information for government, industry, and public audiences.
  • U.S. citizen or green?card permanent resident with at least 3 years of U.S. residency.
  • Experience with FAA and related environmental regulations.
Education & Experience

Aviation Analyst I
Bachelors degree in a related field and 58 years of direct aviation experience, including flight operations; pilot experience with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating beneficial. Substitution: Bachelors degree waived with 10 years of experience performing these duties.

Sr. Aviation Analyst II
Bachelors degree and 12 years of direct aviation experience; pilot rating beneficial. Substitution: Bachelors degree waived with 15 years of experience developing, evaluating, or managing aviation operational or training programs, or implementing regulatory oversight.

Sr. Aviation Analyst III
Masters degree in aeronautics, engineering, or related discipline and 12 years of aviation experience; pilot rating beneficial. Substitution: Masters degree waived with bachelors degree and 20 years of experience performing these duties.

Compensation

Salary ranges vary by role and location (Irving, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; St. Louis, MO; Reno, NV; Seattle, WA; Washington, D.C.). Examples:

  • Aviation Analyst I: $64,620 $100,935
  • Sr. Aviation Analyst II: $78,120 $122,065
  • Sr. Aviation Analyst III: $103,950 $196,630

Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in UAS regulatory analysis.
  • Experience preparing waiver analyses, airspace evaluations, or operational recommendations.
  • Proficiency with multimedia tools, advanced Excel, Visual Basic macros, and collaborative software environments.
  • Familiarity with FAA Safety Management System, NAS operations, and emerging aviation technologies.
