Responsibilities- Manage day?to?day activities of client accounts, including policy review, changes and updates, contract reviews, renewal document preparation, marketing and negotiating insurance programs, and financial statements related to client insurance.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships.
- Maintain client files accurately and consistently; document files properly and communicate in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage client inquiries and collaborate with insurance partners and internal teams to resolve client issues.
- Know the requirements and attributes of all insurance company partners and maintain in?depth knowledge of the company and its resources.
- Coordinate service delivery for accounts, including developing initial placement/renewal strategy.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes; bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
- Serve as a mentor to colleagues as requested.
- Forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives.
- Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites.
- Strong Excel skills; create and manage large spreadsheets of data.
- Analyze complex risk exposures and existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects.
- Work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other firm business segments.
- At least 4 years of related insurance experience or associated industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Obtain and maintain a state insurance license(s) as required by the State Department of Insurance; be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment.
