Multi Craft Maintenance Technician- $3000 SIGN ON BONUS

Multi Craft Maintenance Technician $28-$35/hour, based on experience. Eligible for up to a $3000 SIGN ON BONUS. IPG offers an excellent benefits package and a starting date of hire.

Location: Midland, NC (Intertape Polymer Group)

• New facility built in 2017 with new equipment, weekly PMs, robotics, and tools provided by the company.
• Swing shift with voluntary OT; 3 day & 4 day work weeks to save on gas; reverse commute from Charlotte.

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follow electrical diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; use hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examine form and texture of parts.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, etc.
• Complete work orders and log detailed information into maintenance management system.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine equipment care maintenance techniques.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
• Provide mechanical/electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare mechanical/electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Actively participate in the Intertape Performance System (IPS) and participate in safety audits (e.g., Safety Observation program).

• Two-year technical degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical sciences and 1-3 years of industrial experience (preferred); or high school diploma with 5 years of industrial experience; demonstrated reading, writing, and verbal communication skills to follow detailed production specifications.
• Industrial experience preferred. Skills in pneumatic, hydraulic and drive systems required. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC drives, PLCs and industrial controls is preferred. Experience with Allen-Bradley controls preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities; ability to prioritize work; clear communication with team members; timely completion of tasks; project scheduling and small team leadership abilities; knowledge of safety and environmental regulations as they pertain to work assignments.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance; ability to stand for a majority of a 12-hour shift; ability to bend, climb, and use both hands; operate hoist; coordination for machine operation; climbing stairs/ladders and mounting/dismounting powered industrial trucks; near/far/depth perception for machinery with moving parts.
