Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician Floater, you will prepare, distribute, and control sterile and non?sterile oral and injectable medications, including specialty medications. You will participate in departmental programs and perform all duties independently under the supervision of a pharmacist. Floater technicians are cross?trained to cover various inpatient and outpatient areas, supporting patients medication management needs. Rotating shifts (day/afternoon) and rotating weekends are required.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum education)
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Ability to perform calculations involving ratios, proportions, and percentages
  • Proficient computer skills for assigned tasks and use of medication carts, automated dispensing machines, and other specialized equipment
  • Ability to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and cover any Pharmacy Technician area
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing; walking, bending, reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling
  • Lift up to 40 lbs over distances up to 10 feet
  • Responsive to auditory alarms and communication devices (telephones, beepers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms)
  • Maintain sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers
  • Read information on medication labels

Compensation

Hourly salary $25.06 $38.84. Minimum Auto req ID: 462886BR.
