Wound Care RN Per Diem

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, this role coordinates clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. Responsibilities include organizing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care based on the specific needs of the patient, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in the Wound Healing Center. The role ensures compliance with established Wound Healing Center Standards of Nursing Practice in the management of all assigned patients and assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans. The position participates in performance improvement review activities and acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, JCAHO Standards, and professional and ethical practice.
Responsibilities- Coordinate clinical activities of the Wound Care Center under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care aligned with Wound Healing Center Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Assist physicians with wound treatment plan development and implementation.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Adhere to federal and state laws, JCAHO Standards, and professional/ethical practice guidelines.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The specific job duties may be changed by the Department Director with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization.
- Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in med surg.
- Wound Care experience preferred.
