As a crucial member of our pediatric healthcare team, the PA will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to young patients, from newborns to adolescents. Physician Assistant - Pediatrics Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct physical exams and take medical histories
- Diagnoses and treat illnesses, injuries, and other pediatric conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Perform routine pediatric procedures like vaccinations and suturing
- Monitor and record patient progress
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and preventive care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Assist in surgical procedures when necessary
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Provide emergency care and first aid to pediatric patients
- Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patient recovery
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care among pediatric patients
- Participate in pediatric research studies and clinical trials

Requirements
Physician Assistant - Pediatrics Qualifications & Skills- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Specialized training or coursework in pediatric care
- Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Valid Physician Assistant state license
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric care
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

$100,000.00 to $150,000.00-
