Are you a results-driven Project Manager looking for a new challenge? Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a motivated and experienced Municipal Project Manager in civil engineering or environmental engineering to ensure our projects are successful.

What youll do

As a Municipal Project Manager, youll lead and manage municipal transportation projects, including roadway reconstruction, resurfacing, streetscape and traffic improvement initiatives. Youll also:

  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and designs aligned with client expectations and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate with municipal clients, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), local utilities and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor design engineers and technical staff, ensuring deliverables meet quality assurance and quality control standards.
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates and technical reports to support business development and project pursuits.
  • Represent Fehr Graham at public meetings, council sessions and client presentations.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks and maintain strong relationships with contractors and field personnel.
What it takes

Ideally, youll have a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. You should bring eight to 10 years of experience in municipal or transportation engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin is required or the ability to obtain licensure within the first six months of employment. Ideally, you will also:

  • Have experience with roadway design (urban and rural), plan preparation and WisDOT procedures.
  • Have strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to balance client management with project execution.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects and mentor junior engineers effectively.
