Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our equipment and systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in machine repair, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical diagnostics who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and perform preventive maintenance to ensure cost-effective equipment reliability
- Repair machines, utilities, and systems as assigned
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting (including PLCs) and mechanical diagnostics
- Identify and procure materials, equipment, and supplies needed for repairs/projects
- Train maintenance personnel to maximize productivity and safety
- Maintain equipment manuals, warranties, and tool inventories
- Review work orders for accuracy and compliance with documentation standards
- Direct mechanics in safe equipment use and procedures
- Collaborate with management and supervisors to support production goals
- Perform other tasks aligned with departmental objectives
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical training preferred
- Experience: 35 years in machine/equipment repair, electrical, or sheet metal fabrication
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records
- Team-oriented with strong relationship-building skills
- Specialized Knowledge: Maintenance repair methods, techniques, and procedures
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, and structural maintenance
- Familiarity with PLC systems
Job Type & Location:
This is a Permanent position based out of Piscataway, NJ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr. Competitive hourly wage with overnight shift differential. Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
