Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs all MRI procedures, as specified in the departmental policy, on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations, demonstrating competency based upon the area of assignment. Demonstrates the ability to work with the patient's growth and development based upon their specific population group. Meets quality standards as measured by the QLP process. The MRI technologist is responsible for ensuring the safety of the patient and MRI environment by utilizing the proper selection selection of coils and approved departmental protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
