Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) Opportunity

UW Medicine Primary Care at Factoria has an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C). This recruitment offers a $5,000 signing bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Day Shift

Department Description:

Conveniently located just off of I-90, you'll receive an extensive range of healthcare services at the UW Medicine Primary Care at Factoria in Bellevue. Board-certified providers offer a complete spectrum of primary care services including family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health, travel medicine, acupuncture, gynecology, nutrition services, podiatry services, and an on-site lab. Clinic providers speak a variety of languages including Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Taiwanese, and French. Appointments are available six days a week, including evenings and same-day appointments. Medical advice is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Use MyChart to message your care team anytime, or call your clinic during business hours and you'll receive a call back within a day. When the clinic is closed, you'll reach an after-hours consulting nurse service.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
  • Perform injections
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms
  • Submit medication prior authorizations
  • Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
  • Act as a liaison between patient, patient's family, and providers
  • Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
  • Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
  • Assist in transporting patients as required

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
  • Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details:

Pay Range Minimum: $27.18 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $38.89 hourly

Other Compensation: $5,000 signing bonus
