Application Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on engineer to join our growing team. This role is 100% floor-based, focused on troubleshooting equipment, solving complex mechanical and electrical issues, and integrating systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will be directly involved with equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Integrate systems and ensure seamless operation of heavy industrial equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Work hands-on with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, and VFDs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical engineering and electromechanics expertise.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment and motor drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• 3+ years of on-the-job troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering and working with hydraulics and pneumatic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Preferred AA degree, though not required.
• Experience with servo motors, gearboxes, and VFDs.
• Familiarity with heavy industrial machinery and production equipment.

Work Environment:

The position is based on the manufacturing floor, requiring 100% presence in this environment. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts with a pattern of 3 days on and 4 days off from 4 AM to 4 PM, alternating between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. The work is physically demanding, especially during summer heat. Proper PPE, including hard hats and glasses, is mandatory, along with appropriate attire such as boots and industrial pants.

This is a permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $89000.00/yr.
