VITA provides free income tax preparation for low-to-moderate taxpayers. The Iowa Center has 8 tax site in the Des Moines metro area that provide this service. The VITA Greeter is an important role Each day a site is open, the greeter is the first person of contact for the taxpayer. As a greeter you will check taxpayers in and make sure they have the necessary documents to have their taxes prepared. You will assist with keeping appointments doing in an orderly fashion. A cheerful greeter sets a good tone for the whole experience

We have sites at The Iowa Center, United Way of Central Iowa, Polk County River Place, Lutheran Services of Iowa, Evelyn K. Davis Center and EMBARC in Des Moines. We also have sites at the Valley Community Center in West Des Moines and Ankeny Service Center.

2 shifts available:

  • Flexible on times: Saturday February 01, 2025 - 08:30 to 14:30 CST
  • Monday February 03, 2025 - 16:30 to 20:30 CST
