Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant | Level I Trauma | Toledo, OH

High-acuity cardiothoracic surgery locum opportunity supporting inpatient post-op and ICU services at a Level I Trauma Center. Ideal for experienced CT Surgery PAs seeking autonomy, strong physician support, and full travel coverage.

Assignment Highlights

  • Locum Coverage: Jan-April (extension possible)

  • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Coverage Need: ~10 days/month (includes 2 weekends)

  • Call: Yes | ~10 days/month | 1:3 rotation

  • Patient Volume: ~12 patients/day

  • Setting: Inpatient post-op floor & ICU

  • EMR: Epic

  • Travel: Flight, hotel & rental car provided

Clinical Scope

  • Post-op cardiothoracic & ICU management

  • Pre-op exams, wound care, suture removal

  • Orders, diagnostics, prescriptions

  • Autonomous APP role with daily MD rounds & 24/7 backup

Requirements

  • NCCPA-certified PA

  • Active Ohio PA license

  • BLS & ACLS

  • Proven cardiothoracic surgery experience

  • 100% clean background (required)
