Job Description:
As a Facilities Service Technician, you will play a key role in shaping how we maintain, care for, and enhance our facilities to ensure an exceptional interactive experience for every guest. In this position, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, across our local stores through vendor coordination, support calls with local team members, and hands-on service and maintenance when traveling to our 50+ stores.
Hours & Schedule:
- Expected Weekly Hours: 42 - 47
- Travel Expectations: Moderate (Between 25%-45%)
- Expected Schedule:
- Office: Monday - Friday
- Pre-planned travel can include multiple locations back to back.
- Emergency Travel: As needed, may include nights & weekends with extended hours
- Oncall: Yes, 100%.
Facility Maintenance
- Utilize our ticketing system to report, track, and resolve issues in our stores related to safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, aesthetics, cabinetry, and carpentry.
- Receive calls from our stores and guide them to a successful resolution via remote support.
- Proactively and consistently collaborate with other internal departments to effectively repair and improve guest and team experience.
- Coordinate with vendors, and store team members to troubleshoot malfunction in systems - Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.
- Be the point of contact for all facility related support - emergencies, tickets, vendors, etc
- Track and monitor active facility tickets. Understand the priority of projects and ensure excellent communication and diligent follow-through on all requests
- Identify systemic issues and take initiative to solve them.
- Travel and perform on-site repairs, and improvements.
- Travel and coordinate with local vendors / landlords as needed.
- Proactively and consistently collaborate with other HQ Departments to strategize facilities and game improvements based on guest and store feedback.
Uphold Safety Standards
- Advise on safe practices for tool usage.
- Ensure electrical repairs are completed safely.
- Identify and call out any unsafe items in our stores.
- Guide stores through weather emergency closures as needed.
- Aid in incident reporting.
- Strong understanding of various trade-work in order to interpret reported or identified issues.
- 2+ years experience coordinating and negotiating various vendor repairs - Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.
- 2+ years of experience performing maintenance on plumbing
- 2+ years of experience performing maintenance on electrical systems
- 2+ years experience using handtools / power tools
- Moderate experience performing maintenance on HVAC systems
- Moderate experience reviewing architectural plans (Permit Sets) including HVAC, Fire Sprinkler, Electrical, and Plumbing
- Must be highly capable of problem solving and troubleshooting various systems including mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, in a hands on setting
- Experience leading others in an informal structure
- Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds individually
- Able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces for extended periods of time
- Basic Understanding of production and fabrication processes including CNC, Carpentry, Scenic, Paint, and Controls Technology
- Moderate experience with computers and basic software including Google Suite, Zoom, PDF editors
- A love for escape rooms and interactive media
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
