Remote Project Manager - Commercial Construction Startup

Position Overview
The Remote Project Manager will oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, working remotely with periodic travel to job sites. Travel typically includes short trips - a couple of days at a time - to project locations in Idaho, Wisconsin, or Michigan, depending on assignment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys autonomy, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats while helping the company build its foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from planning to completion
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and documentation
- Monitor site progress through virtual tools + in-person site visits as needed
- Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications
- Identify risks, resolve challenges, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Support startup systems, processes, and efficiencies as the company grows
- 3-7+ years of experience as a Project Manager or APM in commercial construction
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Proficiency with common construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc. preferred)
- Willingness to travel for short trips (ID, WI, MI) based on project needs
