Position Overview

Make a Difference in Patient Care

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a Urology specialty practice in Palm Harbor, FL. CMAs in this role will be cross-trained and supported with on-the-job training to succeed in both clinical and administrative functions within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity offering excellent benefits starting Day One and a consistent weekday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and prepare patients for urology exams and procedures with professionalism and compassion
  • Collect and document vital signs, patient intake, and clinical information in Epic EMR
  • Assist providers during urology exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)
  • Perform specimen collection and assist with in-office urology procedures
  • Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and lab specimen handling as needed
  • Educate patients on aftercare instructions and provider recommendations
  • Cross-train in administrative functions and assist with patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and clinic workflow as needed
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, AHMG, and clinical regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care team members
  • Support the organization's mission and commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
  • Current CPR certification
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Urology experience is a plus, but not required - training will be provided
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
