Pay Rate: $30 per hour on 1ST SHIFT

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills and the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery used in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely, while adhering to all company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Locate mechanical and electrical issues by observing equipment in operation, listening for abnormalities, and using precision measuring/testing instruments.
  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble, or replace defective electrical equipment including plugs, switches, outlets, controls, motors, and lighting components.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and various hand/power tools.
  • Test electrical installations for continuity, compatibility, and safety using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, and similar tools.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, junction boxes, switchboards, and outlets.
  • Follow all GMPs, SOPs, and plant safety procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • Adjust functional parts of machinery and control instruments using levels, straightedges, and precision tools.
  • Reduce downtime by instructing production staff in routine preventive maintenance tasks and monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricate replacement parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Manage spare parts and supply inventory, including ordering and tracking materials.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and track equipment trends.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Maintain communication between shifts by documenting repairs, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
  • Ensure a clean, safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Assist in planning and executing plant improvements and expansions.
  • Investigate equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions.
Qualifications - What We Need From You
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, codes, devices, and safety standards.
  • Skilled in diagnosing electrical issues and repairing motors, controls, switches, transformers, and panel boards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and confined spaces when required.
  • Strong technical understanding, problem-solving skills, and ability to work through uncertainty.
  • Basic safety knowledge and experience using power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical decision-making ability.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
