JOB GOAL:
Assist the principal in providing a safe, well-monitored environment for all students. This position also provides supervision in the girls' locker room.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents.
Organized and efficient manager of time.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Work Skills Assessments: Achieve minimum acceptable levels/scores in reading, writing,
math, and technology assessments

Bona Fide Occupational Qualification
A bona fide occupational qualification (BOFQ) requirement is specific to gender, as the nature of this job includes providing supervision and maintaining privacy within the girls' locker room facilities.

This is not an instructional position subject to meeting the state minimum employment requirements.

Performance, Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site.
  2. Administer basic First Aid and assistance to students.
  3. Help settle disputes between students through problem-solving methods.
  4. Report and document serious concerns/incidents to the school administration.
  5. Be aware of potentially hazardous conditions in the assigned work area.
  6. Promote opportunities for cooperative interaction/play between students as appropriate
    to the assigned work area.
  7. Help monitor special circumstances/needs for individual children.
  8. Work cooperatively with other staff members in the school.
  9. Keep track of playground equipment on a daily basis.
  10. Be a positive role model for children.
  11. Wipe down cafeteria tables and help stack/unstack chairs.
  12. Work with students in behavioral remediation settings.
  13. Supervision of Girls' locker room.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Job duties involve sitting, walking, standing, stooping, crouching and climbing. May be exposed to high noise levels. May be required to deal with distraught students. Work is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

Reports TO: Building Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Work Year: 180 days, regular school year (plus paid holidays that fall within the work year calendar)
Hours: 2.50 hours Monday through Thursday, and 2.0 hours on Fridays
Schedule: 10:15 am -12:45 pm Monday-Thursday and 10:10 am - 12:10 pm on Friday (Hours subject to change based on school and scheduling needs for supervision purposes)
Salary: 2025-26 PSE Salary Schedule A
$22.02-$24.79 per hour DOE

Evaluation: Performance is evaluated by the building principal with input from other staff as appropriate.

For on-call positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two (2) school years (September 1 through August 31). Regular employees who are not in on-call positions and are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability and the employee assistance program.

Other benefits include VEBA, which is a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and serves as a way to contribute dollars on a pre-tax basis for out of pocket benefits costs, whether it be for medical, dental or vision premiums, or any other out of pocket medical expenses. This benefit is available, based on the outcome of annual voting of employees by group.
