Purchasing & Receiving Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Receiving Specialist to manage procurement activities and ensure accurate receiving and inventory control. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations and supporting our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services at competitive prices.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Record and maintain accurate inventory data in ERP systems.
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, and coordinate returns.
- Organize storage areas and ensure proper material handling.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inventory needs.
- Coordinate with project management, as needed, to handle outbound shipping using carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and other freight services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse conditions.
