Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining building facilities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ensuring all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong hands-on experience in facility maintenance tasks such as light electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical repairs, and general upkeep to maintain a GMP-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain building facilities in excellent GMP condition and ensure all work aligns with cGMP, SOPs, and company safety policies.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage and oversee contractor service contracts including pest control, landscaping, waste management, uniforms, and facilities cleaning.
  • Ensure timely closure and filing of completed work orders on a monthly basis.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and service providers for issue resolution.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and request materials as needed to maintain operational continuity.
  • Provide prompt and professional support to all departments as part of the facilities and utilities team.
  • Execute corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as assigned to the engineering/maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (mandatory).
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, including light electrical, HVAC, plumbing, patch and paint, and mechanical repairs.
  • Proven ability to perform basic maintenance and simple electronic or HVAC repairs.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (bilingual preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing.
  • Understanding of GMP compliance, SOPs, and safety standards.
