Job Summary: As a Retail Merchandise Associate, you will engage with customers, embody our customer experience principles, and maintain a clean and organized store. You'll also adhere to operational standards and may be cross-trained to work in various areas to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model excellent customer experience practices with both internal and external customers.
  • Support a positive store culture by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and respect.
  • Process customer purchases and returns accurately, ensuring proper change is given.
  • Promote our credit and loyalty programs during customer interactions.
  • Follow established merchandising procedures and standards to maintain our merchandising philosophy.
  • Prepare and process merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures.
  • Assist with store recovery throughout the day to ensure a tidy shopping environment.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organizational standards for the sales floor and overall store.
  • Engage in ongoing recognition and constructive feedback with team members.
  • Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Support shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives to maintain a risk-free environment.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptability in responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Team-oriented approach to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Previous retail customer experience is preferred.
