CRW is a growing multidiscipline engineering and surveying firm with offices in Anchorage, Palmer, and Olympia. Our staff of nearly 100 provides planning, design, and construction support services for state, municipal, federal, tribal, and private clients on projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. - Help plan and develop designs for transportation facilities for private, commercial, and public sector clients.
- Collaborates with clients, utility companies, government agencies, and/or the general public to identify project constraints and develop design alternatives and concepts for transportation improvement projects.
- Develops and presents design study reports in accordance with government agency criteria.
- Prepares plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates for construction of:
- roadways, trails, airport surfaces, traffic signals, and non-motorized transportation systems.
- roadway/airport resurfacing and rehabilitation projects.
- Collects traffic data and performs traffic studies and analysis.
- Works with permitting agency staff to meet local code requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering concepts and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Municipality of Anchorage, State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- Licensed engineer-in-training.
- Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work in a team environment with multi-discipline engineering staff at various experience levels.
- Must be able to travel to various project sites.
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
