The Attapulgus Research and Education Center is located in the southwest corner of Georgia, about five miles north of the state line. Established in 1939, the center continues to help support area farmers by researching crops that can be adapted to the sandy coastal plain soil and local weather conditions.

Position Summary

This part-time position will provide general maintenance and landscaping support at UGA's Attapulgus Research and Education Center.

Duties/Responsibilities

Perform cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds.

Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities

Assist with research plot maintenance, orchard maintenance, research plot harvest and data collection, and obtaining supplies from vendors.

Percentage of time 25 Duties/Responsibilities

Perform farm and research equipment maintenance.

Percentage of time 15 Duties/Responsibilities

Maintain mowers, hedge trimmers, and other lawn care equipment, including keeping up-to-date equipment maintenance logs.
