Under the direct supervision the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of care of the newborn and obstetrical patients through the deployment of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Minimum:

  • Labor and Delivery experience required.

  • 1 year recent hospital experience

  • AA degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current California Registered Nurse license

  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Special Skills

Ability to function within the limits of State Nurse Practice Act. Conscious Sedation competency

Training

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course by AWHONN or NCC certification within 6 months of hire (Preferred)

We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.
