Join a team that keeps our community moving We're hiring a Diesel Technician to maintain and repair school buses and company vehicles. If you're experienced, safety-focused, and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul school buses and fleet vehicles per FMCSA guidelines.
- Champion the adoption of cutting-edge EV maintenance practices and technology.
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
- Tune engines, align wheels, and maintain electrical systems to meet DOT standards.
- Replace worn parts, change filters, and perform oiling/greasing.
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure safety and performance.
- Conduct minor bodywork and repainting as needed.
- Track parts usage, manage inventory, and order supplies.
- Report safety concerns and corrective actions.
- Mentor junior technicians and assist where needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Leadership skills and willingness to train others.
- Technical certification or ASE preferred
