Job Overview:The Nursing Manager for the Emergency Unit is responsible for the overall leadership and management of nursing services within the unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with neurological conditions. The manager will oversee staff, ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, and maintain a safe and efficient environment that promotes optimal patient outcomes. This position also involves budget management, strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage staffing and schedules.
  • Patient Care: Oversee patient care, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols for neurological conditions.
  • Quality & Safety: Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient outcomes, and ensure safety standards.
  • Resource Management: Manage unit budget, staffing, and supplies; ensure effective resource use.
  • Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Patient/Family Support: Provide education and support to patients and families regarding neurological care.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current IL state license.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills


Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- Active Registered Nursing license in the state of Illinois

-Three years previous management experience preferred

-At least five years previous experience in a clinical setting

Compensation:

Hourly range $42.37 - $63.56

Bonus:

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.

Incentives:

Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
