Commercial Auto Claims Examiner - BI & Litigation
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Auto Claims Examiner - BI & Litigation to join a team in a fully remote capacity. This role involves managing and resolving bodily injury and litigated commercial auto claims across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial auto claims, including experience with attorney-represented cases and litigated claims. Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $98,000 per year (depending on experience)
- Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.
- Investigate and resolve first and third-party commercial auto claims, including bodily injury (BI) and uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims.
- Handle claims involving moderate to severe injuries, such as soft-tissue injuries, fractures, disc herniations, joint dislocations, and short-term hospitalizations.
- Manage attorney-represented claims and litigated cases, including analyzing and responding to time-limited policy demands.
- Conduct coverage analysis and identify coverage issues.
- Collaborate with experts in various disciplines, including physicians, attorneys, accident reconstructionists, and forensic accountants.
- Maintain claim files in accordance with established best practices.
- Evaluate and value injuries and damages, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses, including the ability to secure licenses in Texas and Florida (costs covered by the company).
- Bachelor's degree required (insurance industry designation is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial auto claims adjuster.
- At least 3 years of experience handling bodily injury claims.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing litigated injury claims.
- Strong knowledge of first and third-party claims, including attorney-represented cases.
- Adjuster license in home state required, with the ability to obtain licenses in Texas and Florida.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in understanding and reviewing policy documentation.
- Ability to formulate action plans and present claim files effectively.
