We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SafeTrace Tx Blood Bank Analyst to support, optimize, and maintain the SafeTrace Tx transfusion management system. This role serves as a bridge between the IT department and blood bank/laboratory operations, ensuring the effective integration of transfusion services with clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blood bank operations, laboratory information systems (LIS), and clinical informatics, with proven experience working with SafeTrace Tx or similar transfusion software.
Key Responsbilities:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) and technical resource for the SafeTrace Tx system.
- Perform system configuration, testing, implementation, validation, and maintenance of SafeTrace Tx.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and validation efforts in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory, nursing, IT, and compliance teams to optimize transfusion workflows and documentation.
- Ensure system compliance with FDA, AABB, CAP, and CLIA standards and support audit readiness.
- Manage interface requirements and data integration between SafeTrace Tx, LIS.
- Document system changes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), validation plans, and test scripts.
- Participate in or lead projects related to transfusion services, laboratory informatics, or system implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with SafeTrace Tx, or other LIS/Blood Bank information systems.
- Strong understanding of blood bank/transfusion medicine workflows and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with interface engines and HL7 messaging (ADT, ORU, etc.).
- Experience with software testing, validation documentation, and change management.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
