Position: Installation Field Technician

Duration: 2~ Month Contract

Location: Chicago, IL (Fully Onsite) - would include daily travel around the downtown Chicago area

Start Date: Training the week of thanksgiving (3 hour virtual training and can pick the day that works best), officially start on Dec 1st, 2025

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and wire security cameras, lighting, alarms, and related systems on canopy structures and surrounding areas.
  • Mount and secure cabling, conduits, and brackets according to electrical and building codes.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate equipment to ensure full functionality and system integrity.
  • Work at heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other technicians to ensure on-time, high-quality installations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
  • Complete all documentation, including installation reports, service logs, and site assessments.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade certification preferred).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in security system installation, electrical work, or low-voltage systems.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, IP camera systems, NVR/DVR setup, and network configuration.
  • Familiarity with canopy structures, outdoor electrical routing, and weatherproofing methods.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
