Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Encompass:
- Preparing the operating environment by organizing and maintaining the surgical suite
- Upholding sterile fields in alignment with infection control standards
- Efficiently delivering instruments and materials to surgeons and surgical teams
- Managing surgical tools and equipment before, during, and post-operative procedures
- Keeping track of surgical supplies and ensuring they are preset for every surgery
- Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and fellow surgical staff for optimal patient care
- Documenting surgical counts accurately and meticulously
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program
- High school diploma or equivalent necessary
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is mandatory
- BLS certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days of your start date)
- Thorough understanding of surgical tools and various surgical practices across disciplines
- Exceptional communication skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
