We are currently looking for dedicated, reliable animal lovers, with an outgoing personality to join our team. We have some tremendous career opportunities for the right individuals.
What do we do?
A major focus of our Pet Counselors is to educate people about pets. This information assists customers in making informed choices that improves the quality of the their lives and the lives of their pets. We provide all necessary training, but previous experience/knowledge is preferred.
My Pet Counselors are responsible for all retail duties (cashiering, stocking, cleaning, customer service, etc.), small animals care, and customer/animal relationship building. It is our main focus to find the best fit for both our animals and our customers.
Qualifications:
Passion for animals (This is a MUST. You will be interacting with both our animals and customers throughout the day. We need individuals who are dedicated and able to transfer their excitement to the customers.)
Self motivated (We do not micromanage. We need individuals who knows what has to be done, and takes the initiative to get it done.)
Comfortable conversing with customers (Our customer service holds no bounds. Our Pet Counselors are required to speak with every customer that comes through our doors. We have both life long animals owners and people who are new to being pet parents. Being able to relate to our customers and connect with them is key.)
Positive and outgoing (A smile is contagious. This is a very fun working environment, and want people to enjoy coming to work. An individual who is able to look at the glass half full, at all times.)
Ability to work both as a team and on your own (Our staff has a wide variety of tasks. Anything from cashier to cleaning to customer service to feeding. Team work is crucial to keep the floor running successfully.)
Previous retail experience is preferred. All the necessary training will be provided.

Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who can work AT LEAST 25/30 hours a week, with a flexible schedule. This is a retail environment, so weekends are required. We are ideally looking for an individual who can work a mixture of both opening and closing shifts. An individual with limited availability does not work with our scheduling.
