As a Mental Health Counselor with us, you will thrive in a setting designed for both you and your clients to flourish. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, fostering a welcoming environment for people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide customized outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
  • Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to support clients in their mental health journeys.
  • Engage actively in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning to enhance overall client care.
  • Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and fellow counselors, to offer a holistic approach to mental health care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Provisional license as required by state regulations.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality mental health care.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development in mental health, including receiving free supervision and continuing education opportunities.
  • Eagerness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong commitment to ethical practices and client confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients and families.
  • Proficiency in managing time effectively and completing administrative tasks efficiently.

Columbia Mental Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $47 - $55 per billable unit. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and incentives. We are committed to remaining competitive and responsive to organizational needs.
