Senior Analyst, Acquisitions

We are seeking a Senior Analyst/Associate to join our Essential Housing team and play a significant role in sourcing, underwriting, and executing private equity real estate transactions across the United States. This individual will focus primarily on naturally occurring and regulated affordable housing, as well as other multifamily real estate investments. This role will work closely with senior acquisition professionals and our experienced asset and portfolio management teams.
The successful candidate will be highly adaptable, analytical, and entrepreneurial with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong financial modeling capabilities, problem-solving skills, judgment, and an ownership mentality. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to institutional-level affordable housing real estate transactions, portfolio and investment strategy, and investment committee processes.
As a Senior Analyst/Associate, You Will:
- Investment Underwriting & Valuation
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis on potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and developments
- Evaluate deal structures, financing alternatives, and risk-adjusted returns
- Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct detailed market, submarket, and competitive research to inform investment theses
- Track macroeconomic and sector-specific trends to identify attractive opportunities
- Transaction Execution
- Support all aspects of due diligence, including traveling to property inspections, meetings with property management, and coordination with legal, financial, and technical advisors
- Prepare and present investment committee memoranda, articulating risks, opportunities, and recommendations
- Portfolio & Asset Management
- Partner with the Portfolio and Asset Management teams to monitor investment performance, implement value-creation strategies, and assess exit opportunities
- Contribute to quarterly reporting and investor updates
- Investor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in capital raising efforts and prepare materials for investors, lenders, and strategic partners as required

The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- 2-4 years in real estate investment, investment banking, private equity, M&A, or a related transaction-focused field
- Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Creative, unconventional thinker who finds creative solutions to complex problems
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize large data sets and distill key insights
- High accountability: you take ownership and have the capacity to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
- Superior written and verbal communication, with confidence in presenting clear and concise analyses and recommendations
