Senior Testing Engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Primary Skill: Automation testing - Selenium web driver or play wright
Secondary: Tech and Functional testing
Experience: Minimum 8+ years

Roles & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders (including offshore teams) to understand Oracle Finance workflows (AP, AR, GL, FA, CM) and translate them into test scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute functional, regression, and integration tests to ensure product quality and compliance with financial regulations.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright for Oracle Finance applications.
• Perform hands-on testing activities, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation; develop Unix/Shell scripts for automation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and review test cases, scripts, and test data; ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
• Track and manage defects using JIRA and Octane, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders; provide regular updates on test coverage and quality metrics.
• Deliver detailed test documentation, metrics, and reports to stakeholders for transparency and decision-making.
