Pharmacy Intake Technician Shift Options 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST (3 openings) 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM EST 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM EST 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM EST Candidates may reside and work onsite at any of the listed pharmacy locations. Pharmacy Intake Technician Position Overview We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Intake Technicians to join our growing specialty pharmacy team. This role is responsible for accurately processing new prescriptions, managing refill requests, and ensuring timely and complete patient intake documentation. Technicians in this role serve as a key link between patients, prescribers, and the pharmacy team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery. Pharmacy Intake Technician Responsibilities Create and maintain patient profiles in the pharmacy system. Process electronic prescriptions and faxes accurately and promptly. Request refill prescriptions and follow up as appropriate. Manage and route incoming documents from the fax server. Ensure completeness and accuracy of all intake information. Communicate effectively with prescribers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies. Support workflow efficiency and adherence to company and regulatory standards. Pharmacy Intake Technician Requirements Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) in the applicable state of employment. PTCB certification preferred. Prior experience in pharmacy intake, data entry, or prescription processing strongly preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
