THE ROLE: Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

Presidio's Field Services (PFS) Division offers one of the best field services solutions in the marketplace. With over 3,000 logos in various verticals, the PFS division provides a strategic solution to allow Presidio to truly turnkey our clients IT initiatives and project deployments.

We have a great opportunity for a Solutions Architect to join our team. As an PFS Solutions Architect, you will be part of team of field services experts whereby your daily functions will include providing support to various sales divisions as new opportunities present themselves. The candidate must have the ability to work in a quick paced transactional environment. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating project estimates and scope of work documentation. Critical skills to include above average MS Office skills (Word, Excel), basic knowledge of hardware products including routers, switches, firewalls, Access Points, telepresence and Unified Communications equipment.

Candidate must possess knowledge of low voltage and fiber optic cabling infrastructure standards which are important to ensure you are empowered to perform estimating and scope of work documentation autonomously. It is essential that the candidate have experience in the design of structured cabling, backbone and horizontal distribution systems.

Travel Requirements: In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%.

Job Responsibilities:

• ?Meet with customers and collect customer requirements
• Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process
• Create pricing estimates for network hardware/WIFI installations and low voltage cabling infrastructure installations
• Create Bill of Materials
• Write and present Statement of Works (SOW)
  

Required Skills:

• Experience in design and documentation process, professional practices and design standards, and development of budget costs.
• Experience in utilizing BICSI, EIA/TIA 568-B standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• High level of proficiency in using the following software programs - Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Must be able to coordinate multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to lead meetings either via WEBEX or in person
  

Additional Desired Skills:

• ?BICSI, RCDD or technician certification
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 6-10 years demonstrable cost estimating and scope of work creation experience
