Sr. Platform Services Specialist, DevOps Engineer (HPC Environment)
Location: Manhattan, NY OR Houston Texas - Hybrid
Salary: Open and will commensurate on experience

Must have the following: DevOps or Platform Engineering experience, Python and Git development, Linux and Containerization expertise, and a strong understanding of HPC and Kubernetes orchestration.

Responsibilities:

  • Design , deploy, and maintain scalable and automated platform infrastructure supporting high-performance workloads.
  • Build and enhance automated platform services to improve reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality platform solutions.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools.
  • Automate recurring operational tasks through scripting and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Monitor, optimize, and ensure the efficiency of compute-intensive infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices for DevOps and platform operations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python, Git, Bash, Linux, and container technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of HPC systems (such as Slurm) or orchestration technologies (such as Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience:
  • Exposure to Prefect or Airflow for orchestration.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus or Elasticsearch.
