If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.* All clinicians must badge in and out at facility Scrubs: Gray The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) reports to the Supervisor and performs all required ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level requiring limited supervision. The RDCS maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field of (adult / pediatric) cardiac disease and new techniques, as they evolve. • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic cardiac laboratory examinations. • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. • Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient while in the sonographer's care. • Assist with the maintenance of laboratory accreditation via ICAEL and JCOH. • Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all customers (i.e. patients, co-workers, physicians, peers etc.). Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of cardiac and/or vascular anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamic principles. Must know 2 dimensional color flow and Doppler wave form analysis. Must understand age-related protocols for the various testing. Must have good communication skills to work with patients and families, physicians, and other healthcare workers. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Epic, Xcelera, Pyxis, Philips Ultrasound Machine, CX-50 Ultrasound Machine Required skills and minimum years of experience. Adult echocardiology, stress echocardiology, Transesophogeal echo Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) ARDMS, AE Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) No Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 1 ultrasound room with echo capabilities and a portable ultrasound machine with echo capabilities Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Individual will have approcimately one week to go through Radiant training, learn the protocols, and prove competence in the core procedures.
