If you're in the Fresno area and have experience supporting agriculture or food & beverage operations, this is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role with a long-standing, diverse organization deeply rooted in the Central Valley.
We're looking for a Tax Director to lead our entire tax function across multiple corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and individual ownership interests. You'll oversee everything from compliance to long-term planning-while mentoring a small in-house team and collaborating directly with executives.
What You'll Do
- Lead all tax functions across farming, packing, manufacturing, and real estate entities
- Oversee and review federal & state returns (corporate, partnership, LLC, individual)
- Develop strategic tax planning initiatives that support long-term business goals
- Provide estate & succession planning guidance to owners
- Improve processes through modern tax & accounting technologies
- Ensure full compliance with all tax laws and deadlines
- Evaluate and communicate impacts of changing tax regulations
- Support transactions including restructurings, acquisitions, and real estate development
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
- Lead, mentor, and develop tax staff
- Partner with finance, legal, and operations teams
- Support the CFO with tax provision and financial reporting (FAS 109)
- CPA required
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study
- Master's in Tax is a plus
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including 2+ years at the manager level
- Strong foundation in entity-level and individual tax compliance & planning
- Experience with both cash and accrual taxpayers
- Solid understanding of FAS 109
- Background in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing, Agriculture, or real estate industry
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Compensation
Up to $225k | On-site in the Fresno area
