Research Associate / Quality Assurance Lead (Combined Role)
Project: Arizona Youth Survey Augmented Research Project
Client: Arizona Criminal Justice Commission (ACJC)
Contract Period: August 4 - October 31, 2025 (~13 weeks)
Commitment: ~20 hours/week (0.5 FTE), part-time
Role Summary:
Provide literature review, report drafting, and quality assurance support to ensure research briefs meet methodological, compliance, and client standards. Assist with synthesizing data findings with existing evidence and conducting compliance checks on deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic or narrative literature reviews.
  • Draft sections of research briefs, including discussion and recommendations.
  • Assist with data documentation and reproducibility notes.
  • Perform QA reviews of analysis outputs, figures, and tables.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client, RFP, and compliance requirements.
Required Experience:
  • 2-4 years research assistant or associate experience in public health, social science, or education research.
  • Strong experience writing or editing formal reports or briefs.
  • Prior involvement in government or academic research projects.
  • Familiarity with research QA and compliance practices.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Public Health, Social Sciences, Education, or related.
  • Excellent writing, synthesis, and editing abilities.
  • Familiarity with academic databases and citation management.
  • Strong attention to detail and QA mindset.
Contract Requirements:
  • Availability for project period and key deliverable deadlines.
  • Willingness to sign confidentiality and compliance agreements.
