The Manager of Employment Support and Skills Training oversees all aspects of Supported Employment and Employment Skills Training programs at Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI). This position ensures that individuals with disabilities receive high-quality, person-centered employment services leading to meaningful and sustainable jobs. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with GVRA (Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency) and other regulatory partners, achieving performance goals, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centered services.
  • Oversee daily operations of Supported Employment and Employment Skills Training programs, maintaining compliance with GVRA and CARF standards.
  • Review and approve Individualized Support Plans (ISPs), participant enrollments, discharges, and service authorizations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and track employment and training outcomes, ensuring contractual goals, performance metrics, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with GVRA counselors, referral sources, employers, and community partners to coordinate services and promote participant hiring.
  • Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and analyze profit and loss statements to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement efforts through data review, performance analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements.
  • Represent BDI in community engagement and employer outreach activities to expand partnerships, placement opportunities, and advocacy efforts.
  • Support accreditation, licensing, and audit processes, maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and/or other barriers to employment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in employment services or vocational rehabilitation programs.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential preferred.
  • Experience managing GVRA-funded or other state vocational rehabilitation programs.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of Supported Employment models, job development, and employment training practices.
  • Knowledge of GVRA, CARF, and DBHDD regulatory and quality standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across departments and organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage staff performance, set clear expectations, and support professional development.
  • Skilled in data management, documentation review, and use of case management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages Employment Support Specialists and Skills Trainers.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on participant and program need.

TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
