The Pro Mechanical - Scaffold Builder plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient construction of scaffolding structures. This position is responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding systems that provide secure access and working platforms for maintenance, inspection, and operational activities. The role demands strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance to protect personnel and equipment in high-risk environments. Scaffold Builders collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and safety officers to meet project timelines and quality requirements. Ultimately, this position contributes to the overall success of mechanical and structural projects by enabling safe and reliable access solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a scaffold builder or a similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, and safety protocols.
- Certification in scaffolding construction and safety (e.g., CISRS, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scaffolding plans.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in challenging outdoor environments.
- Additional training or certification in rigging or mechanical maintenance.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial or extraction sites.
- Familiarity with environmental and site-specific safety regulations.
- First aid certification and emergency response training.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to engineering specifications and safety regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding components and structures regularly to identify and address any safety hazards or defects.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and safety personnel to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Transport and organize scaffolding materials and tools efficiently to support ongoing project needs.
- Document scaffolding activities and report progress or issues to project management for timely resolution.
