Access Healthcare is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Newton, Massachusetts.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Radiology TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 9 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelEssential Functions -Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient's condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care -Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients -Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs -Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation -Maintains pertinent records -Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards -May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms Qualifications Education • Associate's degree Diagnostic Imaging required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? • No Licenses and Credentials • Radiologic Technologist [State License] - required • Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred Experience • Radiology Technician experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years preferredAccess Healthcare Job ID #5-MGB-25587.
