Med/Surg RN Job Details Location: Sioux City, IA 51104 (Iowa nursing jobs) Unit: 3A Medical – Med/Surg Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date: December 22, 2025 End Date: March 23, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3x12) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend EMR: EPIC Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880 - $2020 Same Day Interviews Available – Apply now for immediate consideration Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting At least 1 completed travel nursing contract Active Iowa or Compact State Registered Nurse license (RN license) Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required) Ability to float within Med/Surg units across local campuses Must reside at least 50 miles from Sioux City facility Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and 1 supervisory reference Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.) Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on the 3A Medical Med/Surg unit Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Accurately document patient care using the EPIC EMR system Float to other Med/Surg units within the hospital as needed Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards Work every other weekend and required winter holidays (2 of 3: Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving) Join our healthcare team in Sioux City, Iowa Apply today for this travel Med/Surg RN job and take the next step in your nursing career.
