Mammography Technologist – 4-Week Contract
Location: IU Health Imaging Center
Contract Length: 4 weeks
Dates: November 30 – December 31
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
NO HOLIDAYS REQUIRED
IU Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a short-term weekday contract at its Imaging Center. This is a great opportunity for a radiologic technologist with mammography experience who enjoys providing compassionate, patient-centered breast imaging care.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammography exams.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by clearly explaining procedures and positioning patients appropriately.
- Review prior imaging to support accurate tissue visualization and comparison.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and adapt positioning when routine positioning is not possible.
- Follow all FDA MQSA regulations and department quality standards.
- Assist with mammography-, ultrasound-, and MRI-guided breast localizations and biopsies.
- Perform screening breast ultrasound procedures as needed by the facility.
Requirements
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography: RT(R).
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- 0–3 years of relevant mammography or imaging experience.
- Ability to safely maneuver imaging equipment and position patients with varying mobility needs.
- Strong patient communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality imaging.
